The Borg-Warner T14 was a light duty 3-speed transmission found in Jeep CJ5s and Jeepster C101s between 1967 and 1975. It was the base transmission option for the AMC 232 I6 and AMC 258 I6 engines.

This transmission has three forward gears and one reverse. All forward gears are synchronized.
For information removing, rebuilding, diagnosing, or adjusting this transmission please refer to the factory service manual guide below.
On CJ models, the factory recommended fluid change interval is every 15,000 miles. On truck models such as the Jeepster Commando, the fluid change interval is every 30,000 miles.

Transfer Case Compatibility
From the factory, the T14 was paired with the Jeep Dana Spicer Model 18 transfer case, only the large (4″) input bore versions.
This transmission was available attached to the Jeep Dana Spicer Model 20 transfer case in the 1972-1975 Jeeps with the AMC 232/258 I6 engines.
The T14 has a 10-spline output shaft/transfer case input gear, which was considered a unique choice for spline count, and was eventually retired when Jeep went back to a 6 spline count with the T15 transmission.
Engine/Bellhousing Compatibility
The T14 used a Buick bellhousing from 1967-1970. It is possible to adapt this transmission to many GM bellhousings using this adapter.
From 1972-1975, Jeeps with the AMC 232/258 I6 engines had their own dedicated bellhousing.
