The Tremec T177 was a 4-speed manual transmission that can be found between 1980 and 1986 in Jeep CJ models, and was used in Jeep Trucks between 1980-1987. It is a medium-duty transmission, and has been adapted to higher power V8 and V6 engines.

The Tremec transmission has three model numbers: T176, T177, and T178. These three transmissions are nearly identical, but the gear ratios are slightly different.
